WHAT IS STEM?
In the Philippines, STEM stands for Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics. It is one of the specialized tracks offered in Senior High School (SHS) by the Department of Education (DepEd).

The STEM track is designed for students who are inclined towards scientific inquiry, technology, engineering, and mathematics. It provides a comprehensive education that emphasizes critical thinking, problem-solving, and analytical skills in these disciplines.
Students who choose the STEM track typically study subjects such as biology, chemistry, physics, calculus, statistics, and computer science. The curriculum aims to prepare students for higher education and careers in fields such as engineering, medicine, research, information technology, and other STEM-related industries.

Overall, the STEM track in DepEd aims to develop a strong foundation in science, technology, engineering, and mathematics, equipping students with the knowledge and skills necessary to succeed in today's increasingly technology-driven and innovation-focused world.
